The Stock Analyst Program final presentation will take place Friday November 21st 2008 at 2:00pm in room Bronf 011.
Each group will be presenting stock picks which they have been researching throughout the semester.
All MIC members are invited to come and vote on what you believe is the best stock/presentation.
We will be ordering pizza and beverages for everyone.

Description of activity:
As you may know, the McGill Investment Club owns and manages a $10,000 portfolio. Last year, MIC members teamed up and gave strong presentations: a financial and strategic analysis of companies they think we should invest in. This program will prove to be very rewarding whether you are a short term trader, a value investor, or whether you have no experience whatsoever in the market. Help us decide where we should invest next, by participating in our Stock Analyst Program this semester!
This popular activity offers students the opportunity to discover investing and valuation methods using a hands-on approach. We will group senior and junior analysts to ensure a positive learning experience. The teams will prepare a research report to present at the end of the semester. The strength of the report alongside weekly stock picks will allow us to decide which team’s pitch to buy into at the end of the semester. Participants will be given an overview of valuation techniques, investment styles, and other tools to assist in stock analysis. The MIC will be available throughout the program to guide you (and evaluate you at the end!).
