Hello everyone! Let me just begin by saying that I am both honoured and thrilled to be the President of the McGill Investment Club (“MIC”) for the 2009 – 2010 academic year. The MIC is one of the foremost clubs within the Desautels Faculty of Management, having won “Club of the Year” in 2008. Our club offers a variety of events and tours designed to expose and educate the student body about careers in finance. On top of our Investment Banking Workshops, the Stock Analyst Program, our inter-university Stock Simulation and an always captivating line-up of guest speakers, we are proud to offer our two excursions, the New York Investment Banking Tour and the Toronto Finance Convention. These are two events you won’t want to miss! As essentially the “shareholders” of our Club, the MIC wants to maximize your value by facilitating an educational and supportive atmosphere. The executive committee is always open to your questions and we hope that you will take advantage of all that the club has to offer. Whether you’re determined to pursue a career in investment banking or simply want to discover the many career paths within the financial services industry, this is the Club to be a part of. I am looking forward to another successful and fulfilling year, and I welcome back all of our MIC members, both old and new.
